ABOUT RIVERSIDE NAUTICAL

RIVERSIDE NAUTICAL (incorporating MARINE COMPASS ADJUSTERS and ii MARINE) is a Queensland company providing marine surveying and compass adjustment services for vessel operators in the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Southeast Queensland region of Australia. We provide AMSA accredited magnetic compass inspection and adjustment/calibration services for vessels of all sizes. Our licensed compass adjuster also provides compass adjusting services for vessels in Hong Kong and SE Asia.   We regularly carry out compass adjustments on a wide range of vessel types, including: Trailer boats; yachts; fishing trawlers; customs, police and rescue launches; tugs; passenger and car ferries; bulk carriers; tankers and container ships, to name a few. We were established in Falmouth, England in 1991 to provide crewing, vessel delivery and shipwright services, specialising in survey compliance work and traditional wooden boat renovation and repair. Since relocating to Queensland in 2001 we have engaged in numerous refit projects on steel, aluminium, fibreglass and timber built vessels, corrosion investigation, general small craft surveying, safety auditing and marine compass adjusting. Our specialist interests are corrosion prevention, detection and remedial solutions in steel aluminium and wooden vessels using forensic investigation and mainly non-invasive, non-destructive technology. Principal Surveyor, John Hall, is an accredited yacht and boat builder, ship's joiner, marine surveyor and compass adjuster and has been a registered professional seafarer since 1972. He is licensed by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority to examine and adjust the magnetic compasses of sea going vessels of all types and sizes.
