| ABOUT RIVERSIDE NAUTICAL (incorporating ii MARINE) |
We provide specialist marine services for vessel operators at Brisbane, Gold Coast and on the Southeast Queensland coast of Australia and also in Hong Kong and South East Asia. We have facilities in both Brisbane and Hong Kong.
Our company origins are Falmouth in SW England. From 1991, we engaged in vessel delivery and salvage operations around the UK coast and provided shipwright services. These included refit projects, survey and insurance compliance work and traditional wooden boat renovation and repair. We were, and still are, enthusiastic promoters of ''sustainable boat building'' methods.

Since relocating to Queensland, Australia in 2001 we have undertaken a number of refit projects on steel, aluminium, fibreglass and timber built vessels, carried out corrosion investigation, general small craft surveying, safety / survey compliance auditing and provided marine compass installation and adjustment services.
- As marine surveyors and consultants, our special interests are life saving and safety systems and corrosion prevention, detection and remedial solutions in steel, aluminium and wooden vessels using forensic investigation and mainly non-invasive, non-destructive technology.
- We offer impartial advice and opinions, drawn from professional qualifications and accreditations, coupled with many years of practical, hands-on experience and "front line" problem solving, much of it learnt in some of the world's harshest marine environments.
- Our clients include: Ship and boat builders; shipping companies and agents; police, customs and coastguard services; government departments; research establishments; yacht and ship brokers; fishing and charter vessel operators and private vessel owners and operators.
- We provide magnetic compass installation, inspection and adjustment/calibration services for ships and boats of all types and sizes. We adjust marine compasses on vessels on the Queensland coast and in Hong Kong, SE Asia and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
- We continue the local Gold Coast and Brisbane compass adjusting service, established by Captain Harrry Bricis, Master Mariner, in 1985.
